Hope everyone's having a great year so far, because we sure are!

And I love that we get to kick off 2020 in the Voice with a spotlight on a customer who uses their Jostle intranet for all my favorite things: information, recognition, and FUN!

In the spotlight

How many of you have set an ambitious reading goal for 2020? Well, one of the best ways to meet fellow book lovers and build out your must-read list is through public libraries. And we just happen to know of a great one in Kentucky that stays connected through Jostle!

Boyd County Public Library has only 54 staff members, but they’re spread out over four locations and work 11-hour days several days a week. That's a lot of busy people who don’t get to see each other very often. We asked them how they use Jostle to stay connected and they sent us their outline:

Hardly a day goes by without some kind of milestone being celebrated in Activity.
We love to use Polls! Sometimes they're just for fun and sometimes we use them to decide bigger issues, like the color of our Summer Reading shirts.
We use News to communicate progress of our new building, changes to a policy, or updates on projects.

QUICK TIP

In People, you can toggle the view to show everyone's name and title along with their photo. Just click on the Filter icon in the upper right corner and select Display > Card view.

Coming Soon: News Categories

Functioning much like Classifieds Categories, News Categories will enable News items to be defined by their Type (Article, Poll, Album, etc.) as well as a customized Category (CEO Blog, Sales Updates, etc.) -- the latter added with the visual improvement of colored tags.
News Categories will be arriving in our Vino release, which will be covered in our upcoming What's Jostling newsletter (to subscribe to the WJ, go to My Preferences > Email Settings > Receive What's Jostling).

Jostle Awards Nominations

In case you missed it, the deadline for Jostle Awards submissions has been extended. You now have until February 7th (by 5pm Pacific) to complete our survey and let us know about your amazing intranet accomplishments! Unfinished submissions can also be saved and returned to before the deadline, so why wait? Get started on it today!
