This issue we're placing ourselves in the spotlight! (...sort of). Actually, it's our People at Work podcast that gets to shine in the kick-off slot.

But then it's back to business as usual with more intranet tips, the scoop on an anticipated new feature, and why we're thumbs up for coffee breaks but thumbs down for working late.

In the spotlight

At Jostle we understand that work can be a complex, fragmented place that makes people feel frustrated, isolated, and unseen. But it doesn't have to be that way.

One way to change this, is with our intranet (but then, you know that already!). Another is by talking to individuals who are doing something different or inspiring in their day-to-day work life to help connect and align people in workplaces.

That's why we started the People at Work podcast. Our podcast is for conversations and inspiration about common workplace issues like engagement, teamwork, leadership, and culture. It's also about connecting like-minded people who are passionate about changing the state of workplaces today.

Inside your intranet

• Aimed at providing a better, more consistent user experience, our improved platform-wide viewer will soon be rolled out to News, Events, and Classifieds. One big plus is its larger viewing area, so videos will no longer need to be resized before they're embedded in articles, notices, or listings.
• Want to encourage employee feedback or mine any untapped innovation? Then learning how to create a Suggestion Box right in your own intranet might be a good place to start!

Workplace matters  

• Most of us already know that coffee breaks are a good thing, but they may be even more beneficial than you think!
• Still, while a little kick of caffeine can help get you through your day, you shouldn't use it to fuel you beyond it—especially after reading why you should never stay late at work.
