Challenges

M&G had four key operational challenges because they didn’t have an effective way to share important updates or build a collaborative culture across their locations.

  1. Inconsistent and missed messages were leading to lower performance. Using a mix of communication tools meant messages were often misinterpreted diluted or forgotten.
  2. Poor communication between store managers led to wasted time and money. If store managers had a strong sense of community and collaboration, they could reduce unnecessary cost/waste by offloading/requesting resources from each other.
  3. A lack of connectivity and community led to unnecessary turnover. “The communication gap resulted in misconceptions about our company cultural values concerning the importance of our team members to the company. This led to low morale and costly (sometimes unnecessary) turnover,” shared Caleb Archer, Project Specialist.
  4. Operational resources and best practices were impossible to find quickly. Without a centralized resource for file storage, finding documents was time-consuming.
